Hi guys, Who is coming to the Silver Lining Show at Stillmeadows this Saturday? We're working hard to get the place ready, and I think things are coming together! A few questions - 1. Does anyone have a prize list?? Somehow, despite being the barn hosting, we havn't received a prize list! John forgot to bring one today. 2. About how many normally do the Junior Equitation? I haven't jumped in nearly 3 weeks due to a broken pinky, but if my horse jumps well this week, I might want to do this class, and maybe the Children's. We'll have to see. 3. I can't remember - Do they pin the O/F portion and the Flat portion of the Junior Equitation as one class or two? I'm in charge of getting ribbons together for our show on the 19th, and I'm trying to make sure I have enough! We will be mailing our prize lists out soon... But beware, there's a few typos! I was writing it half sick. So if you notice "hunger" instead of "hunter" or that there are an extra 2 classes at the end of the pony ring, just ignore them! Look forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

If it rains... well, we drag the heck out of the rings and try to get through it! And hope and pray that it doesn't. I think Dylano would have a blast doing the hunters. You might have the fastest hunter round on history.

First off, I'm totally going! Carl loves seeing Sulu and Derek and everyone else. Secondly, if he wanted to, Carl would definitly have the fastest hunter trip. But he enjoys being a hunter now:)

Unfortunately, Sulu and Derek will still be in Atlanta! My horse as well could rival for the fastest hunter round. However, whereas your two would be fast but in control, mine would be fast and running away. And being scary. We were just talking about Carl the other day, and what a great horse he is. Sulu was telling stories about when Mary had him.

After the couple days of rain we just had, I still was able to ride out in the hunter (horse) ring. The footing was wonderful. The jumper (pony) ring was kind of sloppy in places though.
In your experience do you find that less people come to shows when it's raining?

I agree with claire. Stillmeadows still has a reputation of having awful footing when it rains. I know its better now with Sulu, but not everyone knows that.

yeah, thats a good point. when i rode dylano the other week was the first time id been in there for years, the footing used to be horrible, but ive been in both rings, its much better. my mom said we still wouldnt go if it rains cuz we would have to be outside in the rain, which you cant really control, unfortunately

Gosh, I remember one show there a couple years ago when 3 horses fell all the way down during schooling in the morning, but the last time I rode there after Sulu fixed it, the footing was GREAT! I'm going as long as there is a show, rain or not:)

The crazy thing is, all we've done is drag it consistently! We've got an awesome drag though. Everyone cross your fingers that it doesn't rain! I want to show! I've been getting all the horses and ponies ready, and let me tell you, some of those ponies have manes thicker than jungles!

Sarah, you have to keep us updated on weather the show is happening or not! I REALLY hope it doesn't rain so we can show
